Frequently asked questions
What does an osu! renderer do?
It replays your .osr input frame by frame inside the actual beatmap and encodes the result as a video — cursor movement, hit objects, skin, HUD, music and the results screen included.
How long does a render take?
Typically around a minute for a 3-4 minute map at 1080p60. A live progress bar shows the estimated time remaining.
Which game modes can be rendered?
All four: osu!standard, osu!mania, osu!taiko and osu!catch.
Is rendering free?
Yes — 720p60 and 1080p60 renders are free. Pro plans add 1080p120 and 4K with motion blur.
